Product Details Petzl MYO RXP Headtorch

The MYO RXP is the first Petzl headlamp that is programmable, allowing the user to choose the order of constant lighting modes and to precisely adapt light output. To do this, there are three lighting modes, for each of which the user can select the power from among ten possible levels, from 13 to 141 lumens. This feature allows the lamp to be programmed for the type of activity and the length of use. Maximum power lighting would be suited for a short night run, for example; less powerful lighting would help preserve battery life and would therefore be ideal for a multi-day trek. This headlamp has Boost mode (205 lumens) and a strobe mode that can be programmed. It is compatible with lithium batteries to optimize performance, even at low temperatures. The Wide Angle lens offers the option of switching instantly from a focused beam to a wide beam when necessary.

Simply Awesome
I purchased this little headlamp for my early morning and late night off-road runs and I was slightly dubious that you could be comfortable whilst running with a torch strapped to your head. How wrong I was!
I can find NO FAULT whatsoever with this amazing little torch that packs a BIG punch!
I am a distance runner and compete in ultra marathons (40 miles plus) and I am comfortable with it on my head for several hours whilst running - no problems.
The light itself is perfect; the difuser helps spread the light around for close proximity lighting and for long range lighting just flick the difuser down and away you go - great for looking further down the track.
The battery life is incredible - I am amazed how long they last!

Fantastic head torch
This head torch is truly amazing. There is almost nothing I could find to fault with it!

Cons: It gets quite warm on its brightest mode, which can be a little uncomfortable on your forehead. The battery back at the back is uncomfortable if you are using it to read in bed when camping. The 'over your head' strap is supplied with the unit un-fitted and is rather flimsy (I didn't bother with it, and I didn't miss it either.)

Pros: The torch is very comfortable to wear (except see above.) The battery life is very good (especially with lithium batteries.) The quality of light is great - very warm white, it feels like incandescent light. The diffuser in front of the lens is extremely useful, I found myself using it most of the time. The strap and plastic parts feel good quality.
