The upper features waterproof seam sealed nubuck leather, soft padded leather collar, fully gusseted leather tongue and rustproof brass hardware. Comfort-Tec sockliner in the insole with moisture wicking top layer and contour compression moulded EVA cushioning base layer. Hi -Tec Great Boot's
Well these are the first pair of Hi-Tec's I have owned and at the moment I am very impressed with them. I read a lot of review s regards walking boots, as I am doing the 3 peaks in June and wanted to own a pair that would do the job with no problems.

I have had these boots for a week or so now and have completed around 50 miles or so in them. Straight out of the box they are comfortable. The extra heal support is very good and the tread gives fantastic grip.

Good points:
VERY comfortable
Steady as a rock on slippy surfaces
Good laces that never slacken up
Waterproof

Not so good points:
Could do with a little eyelet for your gators at the bottom of the laces (personnel preference maybe)
After 4 hours of walking in the snow yesterday the water crept in. Can not really moan about this to much but thought it was worth a mention!

My verdict is 4.5 out of 5. Great boot!!!
