Pros and Cons
Best things about this rucksack:
1. Comfort-This is a very comfortable rucksack to carry, particularly for the shoulders
2. Space-Not so much in that it's a big rucksack but the space it has is cleverly distributed into functional side pockets and multi access main pocket
3. Design-Not important but it looks nice
4. Back Support-Nice adjustable back support which when you've found the right setting is really beneficial and means you tire much less quickly
5. Cover-Although waterproof covers are not uncommon this is a berghaus cover so it actually works and is quite resistant to ripping
6. Bivy Divider-Very useful for dirty or wet clothes to keep them seperate from the rest of your equipment
7. Adjustable Straps-There are lots, you can adjust the position of the bag in numerous ways (more than i've seen on other rucksacks) so you can get the bag to fit pretty well with a bit of fiddling
Worst things about this rucksack:
1. Chest...
Can hardly call them Pockets.
Strange how this happens, but, it's as if the pockets are part of the overall bag. What I mean by that is... Whatever you put in the pockets WILL reduce how much you can fit inside the main compartment. That is not the small netted pockets you see in the Picture.... They too are just too small..a handkerchief, bunch of keys, small Red Bull can type size. Shame because everything else is Superb. Excellent Harness, in built rain cover, Seperate wet / sleeping bag pocket. 2 x pole straps. top pocket for easy access to rainware etc....A simple field test would have made them change these niggling faults.
