Reviewed after 4 wks, just back from 4 day Incan trail to Macchu Picchu. It rained continuously for 3 days and even snowed on Dead Woman's Pass. Boot stayed warm and dry throughout thanks to the gusseted tongue. The rubber toe cap prevented me stubbing against rocks. Slightly slippery sole on wet rocks. The sole is also a little flexible, so better for trail running and light loads rather than heavy trekking - but this makes the shoe lighter and more comfortable. Love the ability to lock the laces at the ankle - this allows looser (or tighter) lacing around the ankle independent to the foot. Looks great too, imho.

Fantastic boot no breaking in needed . super comfortable from the box. This is the second pair of salomon boots i have used the others covered hundreds of miles. I have no reason to think these will be any different.Top product.
