Nice gilet!
This gilet is great quality, like other North Face products I have previously bought. It is very light and warm, and a nice neat fit, not at all bulky. I struggled to decide on which size I needed as I am not a skinny 12, nor a fat 14. I think I'm probably nearer a 14 than a 12, but different gilets in the same size, even within North Face, are different fits. I tried some on in shops before ordering online, but couldn't find this one in this size in a shop, so I had to guess which was the size I needed. I wanted something I could wear in all seasons and be comfortable. I chose the 12 (medium). It is very neat on the bottom edge, so a bit tight over a thick jersey, but the zip was still closeable. All very well made, nice deep zipped pockets. The only criticism I have is their daft assertion that it packs into its internal flimsy pocket for carrying around. it would be very useful if it worked, but I felt that I was on the verge of damaging it in order to squeeze it in, so had to give...
